A project room as a sign of solidarity


Whether at the Imperial and Royal Export Academy in Berggasse, the University of World Trade in Währinger Park, the old Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration in Augasse or, for the past 10 years, on the WU campus near the green Prater, the WU Library has been of outstanding importance to students and researchers for 125 years.

 

The unique Library & Learning Center, a masterpiece by the Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, offers 18 project rooms with modern equipment. With interactive screens and state-of-the-art meeting technology, they provide an ideal environment for learning, research, and collaboration.

 

One of the project rooms is particularly special because it is dedicated to WU alumni. While in the library next door, the names of important scientists adorn the spines of books, WU alumni had the opportunity to make their names visible by making a financial contribution to the "Success has a name" project.
