WU Alumni Hub Budapest: "Fast Change - Slow Change"

On November 28, the first inter-university alumni event of the Budapest Alumni Hub and DSG Corvinus University (alumni of the German-language degree program in Business Administration) took place. The event, entitled "Fast Change - Slow Change", was organized by WU Alumni Hub Manager Paul Binder together with Csaba Burger (DSG Corvinus). The event followed the well-known format of the WU Alumni Hub Budapest: an interesting general topic and engaging presentations, followed by an extensive Q&A session and networking at the end.

After the welcome and introduction by Hub Manager Paul Binder and Csaba Burger, the speakers presented their case studies and provided fascinating insights into their experiences and findings.

Patrick Bohl (DSG and ex-airport) spoke first on the topic of "Dynamic Capabilities and Budapest Airport". He shed light from an academic perspective on how Budapest Airport reacted to the bankruptcy of the Hungarian airline MALÉV in 2012. The second presentation by Martins Tamovics (alumnus of the WU Executive Academy) focused on the long-term development of "Terminal 3" and the challenges of maintaining flight operations during construction.

The evening was hosted by Philipp Schramel, the Austrian economic delegate of the WKO in Hungary and a WU alumnus. He not only provided the venue, but also catered for the culinary delights enjoyed by participants throughout the event, and moderated the final Q&A session before the event concluded with relaxed networking.
