Wise Women of WU: Networking Breakfast at Half-time in the Mentoring Programme
It is extremely important to the WU, and especially to Rector Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger, to support female graduates wishing to develop their careers. The mentoring programme "Wise Women of WU" is aimed at top, female WU alumni at an early stage in their careers. They are supported by female WU graduates who are successful managers with experience on executive and supervisory boards.
Following the programme launch in autumn 2018 and some very successful tandem meetings, all the mentors and mentees met on 6th March (the halfway point in the programme) for another networking breakfast at the WU. The breakfast featured a presentation by Heike Mensi-Klarbach, assistant at the Department for Gender and Diversity Management, in addition to discussions between the mentors and the top young WU alumni. Ms. Mensi-Klarbach inspired the guests with fresh results from the WU study “Activities to promote women at an Austrian corporation”.
