Wise Women of WU Kick-off 2025

At the kickoff event for the new cohort of the Wise Women of WU program, the foundation was laid for the upcoming mentoring year.

During the meeting on the Campus WU, mentors and mentees had the opportunity to get to know each other better and develop shared ideas for their collaboration in the upcoming mentoring year.

Inspiration and ideas came from Sabine Haag, who can look back on an impressive career in art and culture. She was the first woman to hold the position of Director General of the KHM Museum Association, and has been awarded the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art, among other honors. She currently holds honorary positions, including President of the Austrian UNESCO Commission and Vice President of the Bregenz Festival. She gave the participants of the current "Wise Women of WU" cohort insights into her own personal career. She spoke about opportunities and challenges, how she reflected on successes and failures, and also that career and family planning do not have to be incompatible. With her dedication, motivation, and resilience, she is an inspiring role model for many women and inspired the participants with her positive attitude that evening.
