About the awards

TALENTA 2026 Award

Together with the City of Vienna, WU presents the TALENTA 2026 Award to young graduates in recognition of their outstanding theses. Under the leadership of Margarethe Rammerstorfer, WU's Vice Rector for Academic Programs and Student Affairs, an expert jury selects the five best bachelor's and master's theses each year. The selection is based on academic excellence, social relevance, accessibility, and diversity.

This year’s award recipients are Nina Höllrigl, Alexander Janisch, Anna Lehner, Caroline Meyer, Jessica Paul (Bachelor), as well as Lina Arustamyan, Matthias Berghuber, Paul Höfle, Felicia Schneider und Emma Tolderlund Vegel (Master).

Engelbert Dockner Master Thesis Award

For the second time, the Engelbert Dockner Foundation's Prize for Securing the Future through Capital Formation and Research will be awarded to two outstanding master's theses in the fields of Long-Term Asset Management and Endowment Management. The jury consists of the Foundation’s founders and board members: Stefan Pichler, Georg Cejnek, and Otto Randl. The selection criteria include scientific quality, contribution to the field, and innovation.

This year's winner is Jakob Pertl, graduate of the WU Master's Program in Quantitative Finance Quantitative Finance.
